Finishing a  simple moss stitch cowl for my mother-in-law that was supposed to be a Christmas gift. When she calls, she never fails to ask how the knitting is progressing. I have always admired my mother-in law’s tenacity.

The simple act of trying to keep this small space on my bookshelf clean but this is what it looked like this morning.

Jicama, lime and salt a simple snack that I cannot get enough of lately.

Knowing that a simple tassel oh her bike makes all the difference in the world.

I confess I signed up on WordPress a couple of years ago thinking I would move my blog to this space. Early last week I finally decided to come back here and rearrange things a little bit but I was still having a hard time writing that first post.

Last Thursday my friend Beverly came to town for a visit. We had dinner together and spent some time catching up on everything. She asked me about my blog and for some reason that finally gave me the push I needed to make the move. Sometimes it just takes me awhile to make changes.

I have also been on a huge reading binge this past week, which for me usually means reading through the night. All three books were worth the sacrifice of  sleep.

Oh by the way,  I love how this woman reviews books.
